Note: The ‘Lincoln’ 800 series of planes were the cheapest line of bench planes offered by Vaughan & Bushnell. The planes in this line were made from cast iron rather than drop forged from a billet of steel. They compare favorably with Stanley Tools ‘Bedrock’ line of bench planes, which were also made from cast iron.
By 1927 most of the 800 series planes had been dropped in favor of the 700 series of ‘Uncle Sam’ planes. Only the 807, 807C, 808 and 808C remained.
